Video Success Secrets – 2013 Year of the Video Webinar Replay

Year of the Video Webinar Replay

“Video is the fastest-growing digital content category” and I’ve just finished watching a great webinar on how to successfully create winning videos.

Video is becoming increasingly important when it comes to marketing. There are three (3) main reasons for this:

1. Video is an increasingly popular way to consume information. The use of video has risen from 52% in 2011 to 70% in 2012.

2. It’s becoming increasingly easier for individuals to create and upload videos to the Internet,

3. Mobile technology is exponentially increasing access to video. It is estimated that there will be 73.3 million mobile video viewers during 2013, up 20% from 2012.

Yet, many marketers are failing miserably when it comes to video marketing and creation. It’s not enough to whip out your iPhone or other smartphone, film a video, upload it to YouTube and hope for the best. You may occasionally be lucky but you can’t build a business based on luck.

To boost your business’s income with video you need a solid, step-by-step plan. And the webinar I watched gave a very good introduction to what this plan should look like and more. Watch a replay of this webinar to learn about:

  1. A range of video equipment from cameras to lighting.
  2. Options for video style, including your own web-TV talk show, and
  3. How to map out a highly effective social media marketing plan to help you optimize viral distribution of your content.

This webinar was one of the best presentations I’ve watched on this subject for a long time. I’ve seen a lot of great presentations on video but most of them talked about relatively sophisticated lighting set-ups which I personally found a bit intimidating.

What I liked about this presentation is that I left it feeling that this was something I could definitely do and that I didn’t have to go all high-tech to be able to create high-quality videos. And, in fact, that sometimes there were distinct advantages to using some of the relatively low-tech solutions. For instance, I learned how I could use something as simple as a piece of parchment paper to enhance the lighting of videos. But don’t worry; this webinar also included higher end solutions as well.

The webinar was hosted by Mari Smith, a Social Media maven and premiere Facebook marketing expert.

And the presenter, David Gumpel, who was sharing his technical tips is well qualified to speak on this subject. He’s an Emmy-Award-winning Director. His partner, Catheine Hedden, as well as being a video expert is also a Social Media Marketing Specialist and Brand Specialist. The
